5 月 7-8 日 beta パッチの完全解説:Doormaker 削除、新 Act 3 ボス Aeonglass、Bestiary 初版、主要バランス調整、そして隔週パッチへの移行。

What exactly landed on May 7 and May 8

Mega Crit shipped two beta-branch updates back-to-back: v0.105.0 on May 7, 2026, and a fast follow-up hotfix v0.105.1 on May 8, 2026. v0.105.0 is the headline patch — it removes Doormaker entirely, introduces a brand new Act 3 boss called Aeonglass, ships the first cut of the in-game Bestiary, formally switches the team to a bi-weekly patch cadence, and pushes a focused balance pass that mostly buffs Defect and tweaks a handful of Regent and Silent cards.

v0.105.1 is the cleanup. It fixes Aeonglass's first-move intent (which was showing a buff icon instead of the debuff it actually applies), restores Aeonglass's music, fixes Ceremonial Beast music transitions, and patches several multiplayer state-divergence bugs that the larger v0.105.0 changes exposed.

  • v0.105.0 release date: May 7, 2026 (beta branch).
  • v0.105.1 hotfix date: May 8, 2026.
  • Both patches are beta-only — the live/main branch is still on the post-v0.104.0 build.
  • Patch cadence officially changed from weekly to every two weeks.

Doormaker is gone — Aeonglass replaces it

The biggest single change is the most direct one: Doormaker has been deleted from the game and replaced by a new Act 3 boss called Aeonglass. Mega Crit's explanation was unusually blunt — the studio said Doormaker had "interesting micro decisions" but "was over the complexity threshold of what we want, and had lingering issues," so rather than iterate further they decided to start over from scratch.

This is a notable decision because Doormaker had already gone through several reworks across v0.100.0, v0.102.0, and v0.103.0. The fact that the studio chose full removal instead of more tuning tells you how far the fight had drifted from where they wanted it. It also follows two separate Steam review-bomb waves tied directly to Doormaker — one when the beta rework first landed, and a second when those changes hit the main branch in April.

For deep mechanics, intent cycle, and per-character counters to Aeonglass, see the separate Aeonglass boss guide. The short version: Aeonglass plays on a clear 3-turn pattern, adds a Wither status card to your hand every 4 non-status cards you play across the entire fight, and rewards classical fundamentals (scaling, block, Exhaust) rather than punishing specific archetypes.

  • Doormaker fully removed — not nerfed, not reworked, deleted.
  • Aeonglass is the new Act 3 boss in v0.105.0.
  • Studio said Doormaker was "over the complexity threshold" they wanted.
  • Two Doormaker-linked review-bomb waves preceded the decision.
  • Aeonglass mechanics are detailed in the dedicated Aeonglass guide.

The Bestiary lands in its first form

v0.105.0 also adds the Bestiary, a new screen inside the Compendium that lists monsters you have encountered together with their animations. Mega Crit explicitly calls this a first cut — enemy stats, intents and full move data are "not yet implemented" — but the visual catalog and per-monster animation viewer are live now.

There is a hidden control worth knowing about: while viewing a monster, pressing the number keys 1 through 8 cycles through its different animation states. That makes the current version useful for building intuition about an enemy's tells even before the numeric data ships.

For context, the original Slay the Spire never shipped an official Bestiary; players relied on a popular Steam Workshop mod. Building this in officially for the sequel is a long-requested feature, and the current placeholder version is already enough to start using.

  • New Bestiary screen lives inside the Compendium.
  • Shows encountered monsters and their animations.
  • Press 1-8 while viewing a monster to cycle animation states.
  • Enemy data (HP, intents, move details) is not yet implemented.
  • Detailed walkthrough is in the separate Bestiary guide.

Card, relic, and enemy balance changes

The balance pass in v0.105.0 is targeted rather than sweeping, but Defect is clearly the patch's biggest winner. Infused Core now makes Lightning Orbs deal an extra point of damage, Hyperbeam's upgrade damage moves to 36, Uproar gets more damage on both base and upgraded forms, Shatter now evokes all your Orbs twice, and upgraded Tesla Coil trades a little base damage for triggering all Lightning twice. Combined, that's a meaningful nudge for Lightning Orb scaling builds in particular.

Regent gets a mix of micro-tweaks. Sword Sage is reworked so Sovereign Blade gains Replay 1 instead of just hitting an extra time, which finally gives it synergy with Parry. Bulwark loses a point of block on each tier (13 → 12 / 16 → 15), Patter loses a point on each tier (9 → 8 / 11 → 10), Crescent Spear gains base damage (6 → 8), and Royalties Gold Gain is bumped on upgrade (35 → 40). Silent's only real hit is Blade of Ink — Inky enchantment damage drops from +2 to +1, but the card is still strong.

Enemies and special interactions got attention too. Fossil Stalker's multiplayer scaling was rewritten so it gains a flat amount of Strength when it hits any player rather than stacking per player. Haunted Ship now applies Weak on Turn 1. Soul Fysh's Scream damage was bumped from 11(12) to 13(15). And as a fun easter egg, "something special" now happens if you have multiple Lantern Key cards (singleplayer only).

  • Defect: Infused Core, Hyperbeam, Uproar, Shatter, upgraded Tesla Coil all buffed.
  • Regent: Sword Sage now grants Sovereign Blade Replay 1 — finally pairs with Parry.
  • Regent: Bulwark and Patter each lose 1 block, Crescent Spear and Royalties gain.
  • Silent: Blade of Ink Inky enchantment +2 → +1.
  • Enemies: Fossil Stalker multiplayer scaling reworked, Haunted Ship Turn 1 Weak, Soul Fysh Scream buffed.
  • Lantern Key has a hidden interaction when you hold multiple copies (singleplayer).

Bi-weekly cadence and the new beta posture

v0.105.0 is the first patch under Mega Crit's new bi-weekly cadence. The studio explicitly said the first game patched weekly, "but it was a lot of work" and the bi-weekly rhythm should leave more time for bigger changes, better polish, and less hectic turnaround. In practice this means each beta drop will be larger and more deliberate, and the gap between beta-only fixes and main-branch rollups will be more predictable.

Mega Crit also strongly recommends that controller and Steam Deck users specifically opt into the beta branch right now, because the team is actively chasing crashes around selection screens that mostly show up on those input methods. For everyone else, the main branch is still the stable experience. The dedicated beta-branch guide on this site walks through opt-in, opt-out, and which playstyles benefit from being on beta.

  • Cadence officially moved from weekly to every two weeks.
  • Bigger batches, more polish, less weekly churn — by design.
  • Controller and Steam Deck users are specifically encouraged to opt into beta now.
  • Main branch remains the safer default for keyboard-and-mouse players.

Bug fixes and quality-of-life

Across v0.105.0 and v0.105.1 the fix list is dense. Headline fixes include: Whispering Earring no longer autoplays cards, Doormaker's old Door HP no longer fails to scale after an escape (legacy code cleanup), a softlock when queueing potions is gone, the crash that happened when returning to the map after loading a multiplayer save is patched, and host/client no longer generate different maps from the same seed.

The May 8 hotfix specifically addressed Aeonglass's rough launch: the boss icon was wrong, the first-move intent showed a buff when it should have shown a debuff, the boss music was not playing correctly, and the Silken Tress relic was only applying to card rewards for the host in multiplayer. The hotfix also stops infinite softlocks (for example Ironclad's Hellraiser against infinite-HP enemies) and removes a multiplayer bug where Strangle benefitted from other players' cards.

  • Whispering Earring no longer autoplays.
  • Doormaker legacy escape-HP bug cleaned up.
  • Potion-queue softlock fixed.
  • Multiplayer save → map crash fixed.
  • Host/client now generate the same map from the same seed.
  • Aeonglass icon, intent display, and music all fixed in v0.105.1.
  • Silken Tress no longer host-only in multiplayer.
  • Hellraiser-vs-infinite-HP softlock fixed.

What this means for your next runs

If you are on the beta branch, the practical takeaways are: pick Defect if you want to feel the patch most strongly, try the new Sword Sage / Parry pairing on Regent, and stop pre-drafting against Doormaker. Aeonglass is a different kind of check — it rewards solid scaling, Exhaust or discard for handling Withers, and a clean 3-turn plan, rather than punishing specific archetypes the way Doormaker did.

If you are still on the main branch, none of these changes apply to your runs yet. The current main-branch live build is still post-v0.104.0. Expect a bigger main-branch update in roughly two weeks once v0.105.x stabilizes — that is the whole point of the new bi-weekly rhythm.

  • Best class to feel the patch: Defect.
  • Best Regent change to test: Sword Sage + Parry on Sovereign Blade decks.
  • Stop drafting against Doormaker — it does not exist anymore.
  • Main-branch players: no changes yet; expect a larger rollup in ~2 weeks.
