More Saves modifies the save handling of STS2 to support multiple simultaneous saves.
STS2 Install Directory
You can find the game's installation directory by right-clicking on Slay The Spire 2 in steam, hovering over Manage and then clicking Browse local files. Alternatively, the default install location is
Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Slay the Spire 2\
Mac: /Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Slay the Spire 2/
Installing the Mod
Extract the zip into your game's mods folder, which you may need to create. After installing the mod, the file structure should look something like
Windows: Slay the Spire 2\mods\MoreSaves
Mac: SlayTheSpire2.app/Contents/MacOS/mods/MoreSaves
(You will need to control-click SlayTheSpire2.app and select "Show Package Contents")
Existing saves will be moved into the new structure on first launch
The UI is mostly unchanged, but on the main menu the singleplayer button will always be available, and Host will always be available in the multiplayer submenu. If the UI state seems wrong, opening and closing any submenu should cause it to refresh.
Saves created while More Saves is active will not be accessible in-game without the mod. They can be made available manually by navigating to your profile's save location.
THIS MUST BE DONE WHILE SLAY THE SPIRE 2 (WITHOUT MORESAVES) IS OPEN
THE SAVE MUST BE CONTINUED BEFORE CLOSING THE GAME, OTHERWISE IT WILL DELETE THE COPIED FILES ON LAUNCH.
On Windows the save locations are
Modded profiles:%APPDATA%\SlayTheSpire2\steam\<YOUR STEAM ID HERE>\modded\<YOUR PROFILE>
Vanilla Profiles (if you use UnifiedSavePath or similar): %APPDATA%\SlayTheSpire2\steam\<YOUR STEAM ID HERE>\<YOUR PROFILE>
Under this directory, navigate to saves\MoreSaves. Move (or copy for safety) the desired save to saves\current_run.save for a singleplayer save, or saves\current_run_mp.save for a multiplayer save.
To refresh the main menu (and make the continue button appear), open the timeline or switch profiles.
