INSTALLATION

Close the game.
Download the latest RareStart ZIP from the Files tab.
Extract so the RareStart folder lands in your game's mods folder, i.e. <game>/mods/RareStart/...
Launch STS2 — you should see --- RUNNING MODDED! --- in the startup log.
Start a new run

To uninstall: delete the mods/RareStart/ folder.

MAIN FEATURES

Choose your style — Random Rares or hand-pick two from your unlocked rare pool, per run.
Works for all playable characters — each character's rares come from its own pool; no cross-class leaks.
Respects unlocks — only rares you've unlocked appear.
Optional config override — lock specific starter rares per character via RareStart.config; leave empty to use the in-game dialog.
Resolution-aware UI — dialog auto-centers on any viewport, ultrawide included.

RESULTING STARTING DECKS:

Ironclad: 4 Strike, 3 Defend, Bash, +2 Rares
Silent: 4 Strike, 4 Defend, Neutralize, Survivor, +2 Rares
Defect: 3 Strike, 3 Defend, Zap, Dualcast, +2 Rares
Necrobinder: 3 Strike, 3 Defend, Bodyguard, Unleash, +2 Rares
Regent: 3 Strike, 3 Defend, Falling Star, Venerate, +2 Rares

REQUIREMENTS

Version 0.103.0 of Slay the Spire 2. Major game updates may require a mod rebuild — check the Files tab for the latest build.
No external mod loader. STS2 ships with its own mod manager and Harmony.
No dependencies on other mods.
