Foil Cards — Dynamic Holographic Effects
Foil Cards adds animated rainbow reflections and sparkling cross-shaped stars to cards, creating the look of physical holographic collectibles. It is purely visual and does not affect gameplay or balance.
Dynamic rainbow foil and moving highlights
Smooth mouse-responsive reflections
Random pastel stars with individual colors, sizes, and twinkle timing
Stars that brighten near the moving reflection band
Unique animation timing for each card
In-Game Customization
Using BaseLib’s configuration menu, players can adjust various parameters
Changes appear immediately and are saved automatically.
Foil Cards supports styles ranging from subtle collectible-card shimmer to bright, colorful holographic effects—all without changing card mechanics, progression, or combat values.
Installation instructions
After downloading, extract the Foil Cards folder and place it into the mods folder located in your Slay the Spire 2 root directory. If the "mods" folder doesn't exist, simply create one.
If you have never installed mods before, please note that the game uses separate save files for modded and unmodded gameplay. If you want to carry over your original saves, go to the following folder:
C:\Users\<Your Username>\AppData\Roaming\SlayTheSpire2\steam\<Your SteamID>
Copy profile1, profile2, and profile3 from there, and paste them into the modded folder.
(Note: If you cannot see the AppData folder, go to the "View" tab at the top of your File Explorer and check the "Hidden items" box.)
