Beta Has Merged Into Main: What v0.107.1 Means for Slay the Spire 2
Major Update #2 v0.107.1 has moved the recent beta era onto the main branch. Here is what changed for live players: Aeonglass, the Bestiary, RNG rework, Steam Workshop support, the card and enemy balance rollup, and the end of Doormaker as the live Act 3 boss.
The v0.107.0 signal has now landed as v0.107.1
On June 4, 2026, Mega Crit shipped beta v0.107.0 as groundwork for moving beta to main. On June 19, 2026, that work arrived as Major Update #2, v0.107.1, on the main branch.
For players who stayed on main, this is not a normal small patch. It rolls multiple beta patches into live at once, adds Steam Workshop support, fixes the correlated RNG issue, and brings Aeonglass plus the Bestiary into the default game.
- v0.107.0 released June 4, 2026 on beta as merge groundwork.
- v0.107.1 released June 19, 2026 on main as Major Update #2.
- Main now includes Aeonglass, Bestiary, recent balance changes, RNG rework and Steam Workshop support.
- Older Doormaker-era live-branch advice should be treated as outdated.
What moved from beta into main
Before v0.107.1, the main branch was still missing the headline May and early-June beta content. Major Update #2 changes that: live players now receive the full stack at once.
If you only play main, expect the game to feel different immediately. The Act 3 boss pool, card valuations, enemy preparation and mod workflow all changed in one drop.
- Aeonglass — the new Act 3 boss that replaced the Doormaker, now simplified in v0.107.0 (no longer applies Ebb).
- The Bestiary — a first cut of the enemy compendium added to the Compendium on beta.
- Steam Workshop — official mod subscription and automatic update path.
- RNG rework — correlated random outcomes are fixed.
- A full enemy balance era — Infested Prism, Skulking Colony, Haunted Ship, Punch Construct and Mummified Hand reworks.
- Cross-character card tuning across Ironclad, Silent, Defect, Regent and Necrobinder.
- New animations, Epoch art and VFX (including a new Defect power-up animation).
Doormaker's live-branch window is closed
In the May Neowsletter, Mega Crit warned Doormaker fans to appreciate him on main while they could. v0.107.1 is the point where that warning resolves: Aeonglass has replaced Doormaker on the live branch.
That means Act 3 preparation should now assume Wither pressure, Ebb as an attack-plus-Block move, and a cleaner but still demanding boss pattern rather than Doormaker’s old hand-disruption rules.
What to do after v0.107.1
For main-branch players: update your mental model first. Aeonglass and Bestiary are no longer beta-only, and Steam Workshop is now the default mod discovery path.
For controller and Steam Deck players: many beta-side crash and navigation fixes have now reached main, but beta may still receive new fixes first in future cycles.
For everyone: treat older Doormaker-era Act 3 guides as outdated, and lean on the live wiki intent text for Aeonglass until the community fully profiles v0.107.1.
- Main players: read the v0.107.1 patch note before judging old builds.
- Mod users: prefer Steam Workshop subscriptions when available.
- Boss prep: replace Doormaker assumptions with Aeonglass / Wither planning.
- Beta players: check whether your beta-only run assumptions have now become live defaults.
