New in v1.2 - Community card and relic stats
- See community pick rates for cards and win rates for cards and relics.
- Community stats data is from Spire Codex (spire-codex.com).
- You can show community stats for all ascensions or limit to just A10+.
- Spire Codex / community stats integration is optional.

SlayTheStats reads your run history retroactively. Abandoned runs are skipped.
Stats appear as tooltips when hovering over cards and relics in-run and in the compendium.
Card and relic stats
- Pick% -- how often you pick a card when it's offered as a fight reward.
- Win% -- how often you win runs that include a given card or relic.
- Runs -- shown as a fraction of runs the card was in your final deck / runs it appeared on a fight reward screen (e.g. 12/30). For relics, just the number of runs present.
- Buys -- for colorless cards and relics: shown as a fraction of runs you purchased the item from a shop / runs it appeared in a shop (e.g. 12/30).
Community card and relic stats
- See community pick rates for cards and win rates for cards and relics.
- Community stats data is from Spire Codex (spire-codex.com).
- You can show community stats for all ascensions or limit to just A10+.
- Spire Codex / community stats integration is optional.
- You can choose to share your runs with Spire Codex, or just show community stats without sharing your runs.
- Runs you share will be tied to your Steam ID. You can see your runs by going to spire-codex.com and logging into your steam account.
- Community stats data is stored locally, so they can be displayed offline as well.
Encounter stats
Every combat encounter in your run history is parsed and tracked: times fought, damage taken, potions used, etc. Hover over an encounter during a fight to see encounter stats.
Post-fight tooltip -- a tooltip on the reward screen compares this fight's damage, turns, and potions to your historical average. Columns:
- vs hist. -- the difference between this fight and historical.
- pctile -- percentile that this fight lands in, e.g. damage pctile:15 means that 15% of fights for this encounter dealt less damage than the previous fight.
Bestiary (optional) -- a new page in the compendium listing every encounter, grouped by biome / act and encounter category. Columns:
- Fights -- how many times fought.
- Dist -- distribution of damage taken. See "Visualization" below.
- Dmg -- median damage taken.
- Mid 50% -- typical range for damage taken. The middle 50% of fights land within this range.
- Spread -- the Mid 50% range as a fraction of the median. Higher spread means damage is less consistent fight-to-fight.
- Turns -- average turns.
- Pots -- average potions used.
- Deaths -- runs ended.
Event stats
Hover an event option to see how many times you've picked it, your win rate when you did, and a baseline for comparison.
Multi-step events (Slippery Bridge, etc.) bucket per terminal option so each branch of the choice tree gets its own stats.
Not all events give complete data on options seen/offered, so some events don't have offered stats for different options. For example, Future of Potions has choices for Common, Uncommon, and Rare potions, however the run history doesn't show which of these were offered at the time, it only shows which one was picked by the player. For events like this you can't show a pick rate because you don't know the amount of times offered (well technically you can by tracking potion acquisition and usage throughout the run but this mod doesn't do that currently).
Visualization
Color-blind palette available (teal/orange instead of green/red) is available in settings.
Most stats shown may be colored positively or negatively if significantly better or worse than the baseline. Coloration takes into account both deviation and sample size, so a very high winrate over a few runs may be considered less significant than a moderately high winrate over many runs.
Encounter damage distribution graphs are shown in the bestiary so you can see the shape of the data. The median and middle 50% of fights are also displayed over the graph.
Compendium filters
All stats can be filtered to exclude certain runs. In each of the compendium pages (Card Library, Relic Collection, Stats Bestiary) has a SlayTheStats button on the bottom left to edit filters.
- Ascension range -- restrict to certain ascensions e.g. A5-A9.
- Version range -- restrict to specific game versions e.g. v0.100.0+.
- Profile -- restrict to a single profile, or aggregate across all profiles.
- Class -- "Auto" restricts to the character class for the card. You can also force specific characters, for example to show only Silent's stats for colorless cards.
- Group card upgrades -- merge upgraded variants (e.g. Strike+ counts toward Strike) or track them separately. Default on.
- Include multiplayer runs -- include co-op runs alongside standard runs. Default off (only standard runs are counted, matching prior behavior).
- NOTE: Multiplayer stats tracking is untested.
Filter pane controls:
- Clear Filters -- remove all filters
- Reset -- restore to your saved defaults
- Save Defaults -- persist the current values as your new defaults. Your defaults are always used when in-run.
Notes
- Pick% is sourced only from fight rewards. Shop purchases, event cards, and other sources are not counted.
- Win% counts all runs in which the card or relic was present in your final build, from any source.
- Shop purchases (Buys): shows how often you purchased an item relative to how often it appeared in a shop. Note that appearances are counted regardless of whether you could afford the item.
Accessibility
Color-blind coloration setting available (changes significance highlight colors from red/green to orange/teal).

Requirements
- BaseLib v3.1.0 or later: https://www.nexusmods.com/slaythespire2/mods/103
- **NOTE**: GUMM is NOT required. If you have previously installed it for this mod, see "Uninstalling GUMM" below.
Installation
1. Download and extract BaseLib (v3.1.0 or later) into your mods folder if you haven't already: https://www.nexusmods.com/slaythespire2/mods/103
2. Download SlayTheStats-vX.X.X.zip from the Files tab and extract it into your mods folder -- you should end up with a SlayTheStats/ folder inside mods/ containing SlayTheStats.dll, SlayTheStats.json, and SlayTheStats.pck
Save data
Stats are calculated upon opening the game and finishing a run. They are stored in slay-the-stats.json:
- Windows: %APPDATA%\Slay the Spire 2\
- Linux: ~/.local/share/Slay the Spire 2/
You can always delete this file without losing data - the run history will be reread on next boot.

FAQ
Q: How do I change stats shown in-run?
A: Open the SlayTheStats filter pane button on the bottom left in the Card Library, Relic Collection, or Stats Bestiary. Hit "Save Defaults" to apply the filters to in-run stats.
Q: Why does a card show more "present" runs than "offered" runs (e.g. 5/1)?
A: "Present" counts all runs the card ended up in your deck from any source -- including upgrading the base card at a campfire -- while "offered" only counts fight reward screens. Starter cards and relics will always show 0 for "offered" since they never appear on fight reward screens.
Q: Why is my Win% 100% but the stat is grey?
A: Color intensity reflects both sample size and magnitude of deviation from your baseline. With very few runs, even a perfect rate stays muted -- the color intensifies as evidence builds up.
Q: Why don't I see stats for a card I've used?
A: Open the SlayTheStats filter pane in the compendium and check your filters.
Q: I'm seeing "no data" for everything.
A: The mod cannot find your run history to populate data. In this case you'll need to find where your game save data is (such as run history). Set "DataDirectory" to the "SlayTheSpire2" folder which the data is stored in. For Windows it is %APPDATA%/SlayTheSpire2. Note that you need to put the full path in there. Please file a bug report so I can fix the defaults!
Q: I lost my save data after installing.
A: It's not lost. By default the game separates modded profiles from normal profiles. If you want to keep your vanilla progress "pure", then create another profile with mods and use an unlock mod to get your progress. There are ways to transfer save data over to a modded profile -- see "Transferring a vanilla profile to a modded profile" below.
Transferring a vanilla profile to a modded profile
Disclaimer - this is how I did it on 2026-04-24. It may no longer work. To see the most up-to-date way to do this, ask the sts2-modding channel on the Slay The Spire discord.
The game stores modded saves in a separate "modded" subfolder, so installing mods makes it look like your vanilla progress is gone.
- BACK UP your vanilla profile folder first. And do NOT later try to copy modded saves back over vanilla -- modded run history can contain data vanilla cannot parse and will corrupt the file. Vanilla -> modded only.
- Launch with mods loaded and switch in-game to a profile slot OTHER than the one you want to overwrite (e.g. if you want to import vanilla profile 1, first switch to modded profile 2 or 3). The game holds the active slot in memory and would otherwise overwrite your copy on the next save.
- Assuming you want to copy profile1: Leaving the game running, copy the contents of profile1/ into modded/profile1 (same profile number). Save roots are below; you can also open the in-game console (` or ~) and type `open saves` to jump there.
- Windows: %APPDATA%\SlayTheSpire2\steam\<STEAM_ID>\
- macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/SlayTheSpire2/steam/<STEAM_ID>/
- Linux: ~/.local/share/SlayTheSpire2/steam/<STEAM_ID>/
- Back in-game, switch to the target profile slot. Your vanilla progress should now be visible.
Troubleshooting
Check the Godot log for entries (close the game first):
- Windows: %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Slay the Spire 2\logs\godot.log
- Linux: ~/.local/share/godot/app_userdata/Slay the Spire 2/logs/godot.log
Uninstalling GUMM
I was mistaken - you never needed GUMM to run this mod. Here's how to uninstall GUMM:
- In your sts2 install folder, next to your executable, there is an override.cfg file that GUMM writes to. Delete it -- otherwise the game won't launch (Godot tries to load GUMM's loader scene and exits).
- Delete the GUMM installation folder.
- Delete the GUMM file from your game's data folder:
- Windows: %APPDATA%\Slay the Spire 2\
- Linux: ~/.local/share/Slay the Spire 2/
