Description
Isekai Hero is an early alpha playable character mod for Slay the Spire 2.

Current version: v0.13.0-alpha

Play as a genre-parody protagonist dropped into the Spire with outsider logic, status-screen instincts, and far too much confidence in the rules of another world. The current alpha begins the character's main combat identity: start each fight small, gain EXP, Level Up, and turn system knowledge into increasingly unfair turns.

This early alpha is a small test build. Expect an evolving card pool, experimental mechanics, placeholder or changing visuals, and balance changes as the character develops toward the full EXP/Level, Exploit, and Quest design.

Installation instructions
1. Install BaseLib for Slay the Spire 2 first.
2. Download the latest Isekai Hero main file.
3. Extract the downloaded archive.
4. Put the extracted IsekaiHero folder into your Slay the Spire 2 mods folder.
5. Check that the IsekaiHero folder contains:
  - IsekaiHero.dll
  - IsekaiHero.pck
  - IsekaiHero.json
6. Launch Slay the Spire 2 and load mods when prompted.

Do not remove the DLL, PCK, or JSON file from the IsekaiHero folder. BaseLib is required but is not bundled with this mod.

Main features
- A new playable Slay the Spire 2 character: the Isekai Hero.
- An EXP and Level core: gain EXP during combat, earn Strength at even Levels and Dexterity at odd Levels, and unlock immediate and recurring Energy at Levels 5 and 10.
- A rebuilt starter package with 4 Strikes, 4 Defends, Grind, Danger Sense, and the starter relic The System.
- The System grants EXP at combat start and when eligible enemies die.
- A 52-card early alpha set with genre-parody cards such as Grind, Danger Sense, Status Appraisal, Route Guide, Truck-kun, Mob Hunt, Daily Training, Death Flag, Underdog Spirit, Raid Opener, Counter Read, Barrier Magic, Starburst Stream, Slow Life, and Anti-Boss Art.
- Conditional cards show animated gold outlines when their bonus is available. Ascendant Form grants free conditional-effect bypasses each turn.
- Four character relics: The System, Beginner's Luck Charm, OP Smartphone, and Forbidden Walkthrough.
- Original combat character art and seven animations, an animated character-selection cover, custom energy artwork, and visible EXP progress.
- A developing class identity focused on EXP/Level snowballing, Exploits, Quests, Jobs, and Cheat Skill finishers.

Development progress
The long-term target is a full-sized character comparable to the official classes. In the current design target, the Isekai Hero pool contains 88 cards, 9 character relics, and 3 character potions. The roadmap may change as Slay the Spire 2 develops.

The current build has 52 cards and four character relics. Combat visuals include original hero art with idle, relaxed, attack, cast, hit, defeat, and revive animations. Character selection, energy, map, Exploit, and Level artwork have also been updated. Rest-site and shop scenes now have original character artwork with subtle breathing. Some card art still uses temporary visuals. Potions and Ancient-specific conversations remain planned.

Requirements
- Slay the Spire 2.
- BaseLib for Slay the Spire 2.

Isekai Hero is built for the current Slay the Spire 2 modding ecosystem and may need updates as the game and BaseLib change during Early Access.
