Details

Modding and save handling

  • –First modded launch now copies unmodded saves into the modded save directory, while keeping modded and unmodded progress separate.
  • –The game now explains the modded save copy behavior with a popup for new mod users.
  • –Modding menu gains controller support, Workshop branch support checks are batched for faster loading, and Steam mods can take precedence over older local copies.
  • –Mod serialization and multiplayer version mismatch handling were cleaned up to reduce false mismatch errors.

Balance and multiplayer card content

  • –Added a large batch of new multiplayer cards for Ironclad, Silent, Regent, Necrobinder, Defect and Colorless pools.
  • –Ironclad gains multiplayer cards such as Midnight, Blaze and Outrage; Silent gains Blade Symphony, Concoct and Fade.
  • –Regent, Necrobinder and Defect also receive new co-op tools, including Plot, Constellation, Underworld, Soulbound, Cacophony, Hibernate, One For All and Imitation Learning.
  • –Enemy Block scaling in 2-player multiplayer was nerfed, while Beacon of Hope now costs 2 instead of 1.
  • –Several single-player cards changed, including Compact, Momentum Strike, Scrape, Shatter, Soulstorm and multiple Silent / Regent / Necrobinder cards.

UI, Bestiary and art

  • –Custom Run screen now has a Randomize button that selects two good modifiers, one bad modifier and a random character.
  • –Single-player run timer now pauses while the Pause Menu is open.
  • –Bestiary now includes a stats section, event combat encounters, hidden duplicate animations for some monsters, a tweaked monster-list arrow and multiple animation fixes.
  • –Added Wither portrait art, Aeonglass animations, updated Gremlin Merc animations, new Epoch art, Orb passive activation VFX, card removal VFX and Exhaust VFX.Aeonglass
  • –Controller deadzones were set to 0.5 so joysticks feel less sensitive and triggers need slightly more press before input is received.

Bug fixes and stability

  • –Saving is retried when antivirus or cloud sync briefly blocks the save file.
  • –Many instances of weird RNG behavior were fixed, alongside Daily Run leaderboard loading issues.
  • –Fixed a Bestiary softlock when opening it in a treasure room from a fresh save / reload.
  • –Enemy, relic, potion, event and character-specific fixes cover softlocks, crashes, visual issues and incorrect card / relic interactions.
  • –Multiplayer fixes target run divergence, reward transitions, Ascension changes, Daily Run seeds and event RNG consistency.

What this means for players

  • –Mod players should no longer need to manually copy saves before trying the official modded launch path.
  • –Custom Run Randomize is a new quick-start option for variety runs and challenge ideas.
  • –Bestiary is still not a full numerical monster database, but the new stats and event-combat support make it more useful.
  • –The multiplayer card batch is large enough that co-op deck evaluations should be revisited on the beta branch.
