Chat in Map

Type text and draw it on the map. Your text is visible to other players even if they don't have this mod installed.

Features

▸ Text Drawing

Press Enter or click the chat bubble button in the drawing toolbar. Type your message, then click anywhere on the map to place it. Text is displayed using the same pen drawing system as the game.

- Shift+Enter: new line
- Ctrl+Scroll to resize before placing
- Right-click or ESC to cancel

▸ Font Selection

Choose from fonts installed in your ChatInMap fonts folder, or use the game's built-in default font. A font size slider lets you adjust text scale. You can open the fonts folder using the 📂 button in the dialog.

Default font path:
- Windows: %APPDATA%\SlayTheSpire2\ChatInMap\fonts\
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/SlayTheSpire2/ChatInMap/fonts/

▸ Multi-Language Support

All languages can draw text using the game's built-in fonts or custom fonts. 
If you want to type in a language other than your current game language, some characters may not display correctly. In that case, install a font that supports your language through the mod's font folder.

Installation

Windows

1. Navigate to: Steam\steamapps\common\Slay the Spire 2\
2. Create a mods folder if it doesn't exist
3. Create a ChatInMap folder inside mods
4. Place these files inside:

mods\ChatInMap\ChatInMap.dll
mods\ChatInMap\ChatInMap.pck
mods\ChatInMap\ChatInMap.json

5. Launch the game.

Mac

1. Go to your STS2 install directory:
  ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Slay the Spire 2/
2. Right-click SlayTheSpire2.app → Show Package Contents
3. Navigate to Contents/MacOS/
4. Create a mods folder if it doesn't exist
5. Create a ChatInMap folder inside mods
6. Place the same 3 files inside
7. Launch the game
