About This Mod

This is a proof-of-concept full-art visual pack for Slay the Spire 2.

It expands the current Necrobinder card portraits into taller full-art-style images and imports them through Card Art Editor. The current pack covers all 88 Necrobinder card portraits in the synced manifest and includes the starter cards. It is visual only: it does not add cards, rebalance cards, change card effects, or alter gameplay.

The 2026-05-12 Necrobinder replacement pass pulled in all 17 issue-card replacements from the review albums and rebuilt the Card Art Editor import bundle. The rebuilt pack was imported locally through Card Art Editor and confirmed working in game.

This is still not a final-polished art overhaul. Some cards may look stronger than others, and future Slay the Spire 2 updates may change card IDs, paths, or rendering behavior.

Requirements

- Slay the Spire 2 with the current modding setup enabled.
- Card Art Editor by p1585:

Card Art Editor is required because this pack is distributed as a shareable `.cardartpack.json` import bundle.

Installation

1. Install Card Art Editor.
2. Confirm the Card Art Editor folder exists inside the game mods folder:

Slay the Spire 2/mods/card_art_editor/

3. Download this pack's Nexus archive.
4. Extract the archive somewhere convenient.
5. Start Slay the Spire 2 with mods enabled.
6. Open the Compendium.
7. Right-click any card to open Card Art Editor.
8. Use Card Art Editor's import option.
9. Select:

necrobinder-full-art.cardartpack.json

10. Apply/import the pack, then check Necrobinder cards in the Compendium.

Known Caveats

- Proof of concept, not final art direction.
- Some generated continuations may still need polish after broader in-game review.
- Some cards may crop differently in specific game views.
- Requires Card Art Editor for the recommended import flow.
- Future Slay the Spire 2 updates may break card IDs, art paths, or layout behavior.

Permissions

This project is a non-commercial fan/modding proof of concept built around Slay the Spire 2 assets and generated visual expansions. Do not reupload or reuse the included art as standalone assets outside Slay the Spire 2 modding contexts.

If you want to build on this, keep the Mega Crit credit visible, keep the Card Art Editor requirement clear when using this import format, and do not present the work as official.
