A pure vanilla bug fix to ensure class-specific relics can properly drop from standard chests, instead of being strictly locked behind shops and elites.
This mod fixes a broken quirk in the game's code where single-player chest loot tables mistakenly use multiplayer logic. Because of this bug, class-specific relics are completely locked out of standard chests, forcing you to only ever find them in shops or elite relic reward pools.
This is a strict bug fix. It does not tweak drop rates, alter item stats, or modify how the game is played. It simply fixes the broken logic so single-player chests function exactly how they were originally intended to, keeping your game fully vanilla.
This mod intercepts the chest generation logic dynamically and should be highly compatible with most other mods. It works safely with existing save files, though it will only affect chests opened after the mod is installed.
Place the ClassRelicsInChests folder into your Slay the Spire 2 mods directory. The mod will activate automatically upon launching the game and selecting Load Mods.
Since Slay the Spire 2 is currently in Early Access, mod updates may occasionally be required after major patches. If you find the fix is not applying, ensure it is enabled in your ModConfig settings. If the developers officially patch this loot table bug in a future update, this mod will no longer be necessary, but I will maintain it until then.

A massive shoutout and thank you to the YouTuber RiptideLab! I created this mod specifically because of their video "I wasted hours on a two-second joke. Found out the game is broken", where they deep-dived into the code and discovered that single-player chest loot tables are mistakenly running on multiplayer logic. That video completely inspired me to build this bug fix. Go check out their channel!
